As an integral part of our Operations Team, Shewania brings with her over 20 years of experience in the IDD space! In 2004, Shewania knew and was confident of the call and purpose placed on her life to serve those with special needs. Here 21 years later, she is even more confident and passionate about providing that family-centered, compassionate care. We are the lucky ones to have her on our team!

A word from Shewania, "I'm passionate and love working with IDD because for one they teach me so much about life and myself. I also believe strongly in breaking the stereotypes and Stigma that seems to overshadow the real individual. I will challenge the misconception or stigma surrounding IDD at any time. By giving my all and building that rapport with each individual in this population is what I thrive on, I am helping others see the person behind the disability, promoting understanding , acceptance, and advocating for Inclusion in our society. To help promote a more inclusive environment where people with intellectual disabilities have the same opportunities, respect, and rights as anyone else. Why am I so excited about Agape? Wow! Just the name alone says it all. Agape, first love, that is power in itself. God's divine love or unconditional love. A selfless, sacrificial, and unconditional love that is Christ-centered. It is often considered the highest form of Love. Here at Agape, we will be about changing lives for the better and promoting growth for each one of our individuals.
